Stephen is passionate about computer and information security and he wants to help home users and small business to become more resilient and skilled in working in an ever increasing interconnected world.
With 25 years of experience in the field of government computer security Stephen has been in user support, network manager, and data base administrator roles. As an Information Technology Security Manager Stephen has tested and developed procedures for government agencies. He has also been a member and manager of Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs). These CERTs are responsible for the detection, response and recovery from computer virus outbreaks and hacking attempts, to restore normal operations in a timely manner and learn from the incident.
Recently Stephen has been working as a Security Consultant, Analyst and Auditor, listening to his client’s needs and working with them to develop solutions that meet the their business needs.
Stephen has a Master in Science in IT, a Diploma in IT User Support and has undertaken extensive training in Microsoft operating systems and products. With his strong mentoring and communication skills Stephen is looking forward to, and is capable of, providing training to his clients.
Stephen joins Jim’s Computer Services, a collaborated community of talented individuals who share their skills and experiences to support their collective client base and each other.
